West Wilts Gymnastics is a not-for-profit organisation and is structured as a Company Limited by Guarantee. Its principals and directors are Head Coach and Club Operations Director Sue Clark and her husband Kevin Borley.
All the Coaches and Volunteers at West Wilts Gymnastics have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop and have Enhanced DBS clearance (CRB). All are members of British Gymnastics.
Sue Clark Sue has been in gymnastics since the age of 6. She started her career at the Christie Miller Sports Centre in Melksham, which eventually became the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics. Gymnastics is at the heart of the Clark family as her farther Roland was the first Chairman of the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics. Before starting her coaching career, Sue competed at County and South West level, before going to University. Whilst at University Sue gained a First Class Honours Degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences and English, and a Masters Degree in English Literature; as well as gaining considerable experience in Leisure Management and qualifying as a coach in a number of disciplines. Sue is a level 4 Coach in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, and has been coaching gymnastics in excess of twenty years. Sue is currently completing her training with British Gymnastics to qualify as a Tutor in Level 1 and Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
Kevin Borley Kevin is a Management Consultant and company director, specialising in large scale technology management with an interest in emerging technology and business strategy. As a result he spends considerable time in Silicon Valley. From a sports perspective, Kevin has been involved in club management for the past 40 years at both a local and national level. Sharing a passion with Sue for Scuba diving, Kevin is a qualified PADI Assistant Instructor and Emergency First Responder. Together Sue and Kev have dived in some of the most spectacular locations in the world, including Mexico, Australia, Egypt and Indonesia, although when not at the Gymnastics Club Kevin is more likely to be underwater in the English Channel or fishing for trout at Blagdon.
Yvonne Brice Yvonne is the one responsible for all of this: along with her husband Bob she began West Wilts Esprit Gymnastics Club as an After-School Club for the Nelson Hayden School more than 40 years ago. Yvonne now teaches the next generation of Recreational, Pre-School and first-stage Development gymnasts. She is our longest standing member of staff and is central to our team, not just because she keeps the rest of us in line!
Peter Quinney Along with Yvonne, Peter is also indirectly responsible for West Wilts Gymnastics being what it is today. He began the Gymnastics career of Sue many years ago with Christie Miller and later with Wiltshire School of Gymnastics. Peter teaches Trampolining and Rebound Therapy, and is Level 4 Coach in Trampolining and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
Tracy Cavalla At one time a high-level competitive gymnast herself, Tracy is now a Level 3 Women’s Artistic Coach, Level 1 Men’s Coach and Level 1 Rhythmic Coach, as well as Level 2 Coach in Trampolining at level 3 Coach in Pre-School Gymnastics. She coaches the Girls Wiltshire Grades and Regional Grades Under 9s Squad and Girls’ Wiltshire Grades Over 9s, as well as Girls’ Regional Grades Out of Age. Tracy is one of our Welfare Officers.
Janna Baker Janna coaches recreational Trampolining lessons on a Wednesday, including our Adult Trampolining class. She is a Level 1 General Gymnastics Coach, and Level 3 Trampolining.
Wendy Craig-White Wendy is a Trampoline Coach and Judge, who coaches our Recreational Trampolining classes on a Monday. Her son, Cory, is a member of the Boys’ Gymnastics Squad with Lukasz.
Lukasz Susz Lukasz is a Level 2 Men’s Artistic Coach and is our Head of Boys’ Gymnastics. He also coaches Recreational Gymnastics, Home Education Multi-Activity sessions, Schools, and anything else he can help with! Lukasz’s daughter Oliwia attends Grades with Tracy, and his youngest daughter Julia attends Pre-School Gymnastics with Yvonne..
Hayleigh Freestone Hayleigh is a Level 2 Women’s Artistic Coach, currently training to be a Level 3. She is also a Club Judge in Gymnastics and Trampolining, and a former Levels gymnast. Hayleigh coaches Recreational and Rhythmic Gymnastics classes, and also coaches the Girls’ Elite Squad with Sue, and the Girls’ Grades 7-8 Years with Tracy and Catherine.
Danielle Rolt Dani is a Level 2 Women’s Artistic Coach. She coaches the Wiltshire Pre-Level and Levels group on a Tuesday and Thursday, and is a long standing member of WWGF, having been a Levels gymnast herself! Dani is also training to be an accountant.
Kieran Coombs Kieran is a Level 2 Parkour UK Coach who runs all the Parkour sessions at WWGF. Kieran is a fantastic ambassador for Parkour and has built up the sessions to three per week (see our Activities Timetable for details).
Vicki Scott Vicki coaches Recreational Gymnastics on a Tuesday, and the Recreational Level 5 (Pre-Grades) Groups on a Tuesday and Thursday. Vicki is a Level 1 Coach in General Gymnastics, and her daughter Lauren is a member of the Wiltshire Pre-Level and Levels group.
Patryk Susz Patryk is a Level 1 Men’s Artistic Coach who runs Boys’ Grades and helps Lukasz with the Boys’ Squad. We love Paytrk because he’s always smiling!!
Cameron Sinden Cameron is an Elite Gymnast himself and a member of the Welsh Squad, as well as becoming the Welsh Men’s Champion in 2017. He helps out with the Boys’ Squad on Friday evenings and generally scares us silly with his feats on the high bar and DMT!!
Georgia Laver Georgia is an Award Scheme Coach who is currently Training to be a Level 1 Women’s Artistic Coach. She is also a gymnast with the Wiltshire Pre-Level and Levels group, and coaches Recreational Gymnastics classes on a Monday and Saturday.
Catherine Hall Catherine is an Award Scheme Coach who is currently training to be a Level 1 Coach in Women’s Artistic. She is also a Girls’ Squad member who has until recently been training 21 hours per week for her National Grades with Sue. Catherine was the first WWGF gymnast to represent the South West at National Finals in 2017.
Kirsty Mellen Kirsty is an Award Scheme Coach currently training to be a Level 1 Coach in General Gymnastics. She coaches Recreational Gymnastics lessons on a Thursday and Friday and assists with the Grades Over 9s Girls on a Tuesday and Thursday. Kirsty is also an ex- WWGF Levels gymnast!
Emily Cox Emily is an ex-gymnast and an Award Scheme Coach. Emily assists with Recreational Gymnastics lessons on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and also with the Mini Squad on a Saturday.
Molly Howarth Molly is an Award Scheme Coach. She coaches Recreational Gymnastics on a Monday with Georgia. Molly is also a gymnast, and trains with the Wiltshire Pre-Level and Levels group: she had a very successful year with lots of medals and trophies in 2017!
Lottie Howarth Lottie is an Award Scheme Coach. She coaches whenever we need her! Lottie is also a gymnast with the Wiltshire Pre-Level and Levels group and also did very well in 2017!
Jazmin Filer Jazmin is a gymnast with the Wiltshire Pre-Level and Levels group, and also a WWGF Young Leader. As such, she has assigned Mentor Coach (Hayleigh) and assists with lessons on a regular basis. Jazmin has fantastic potential as a coach, and is already helping out with some of the Elite Girls’ sessions. She is hoping to take her Award Scheme Coach qualification in the Autumn.
Sophie Rees Lilley Sophie is an ex-gymnast with the Grades Over 9s group, and is also a WWGF Young Leader. Her Mentor Coach is Yvonne, and she helps out with the Recreational Gymnastics classes on a Wednesday. Sophie is fun to work with, hardworking, enthusiastic and very reliable: a real asset to WWGF!
Rachael Broome Rachael is a very good Trampolinist, who attends lessons at WWGF on a Monday and Wednesday. She is a Young Leader whose Mentor Coach is Janna, and her help with the Group 1 Trampolining lessons is invaluable. She and Janna have developed a system of side activities with the Trampolinists, so that the children are active for the whole lesson, with no idle time spent waiting, except when they are spotting. Good work Rachael!
Ellie Anderson Ellie is a Recreational gymnast and a WWGF Young Leader. Her Mentor Coach is Yvonne, and she helps out with the Recreational Gymnastics classes on a Friday. Her help with the lessons means that the children can have extra attention!
Sophie Biddulph Sophie is a Recreational gymnast and a WWGF Young Leader. Her Mentor Coach is Lukasz, and she helps out with the Recreational Gymnastics classes on a Tuesday. Sophie shows great potential for someone so young: she is very confident and enthusiastic with the children and we hope she will continue to coach into the future!
Gee Foskett Gee is an amateur Pole Dancer (an amazing one!!) and is also one of our Adult Gymnasts. She helps out with Rhythmic Gymnastics on a Wednesday when she is able.
Tilly Vowles Tilly is an Award Scheme coach. She is at the University of Gloucestershire, but returns to help out in the holidays. Tilly is a former Squad gymnast with WWGF, and a very successful one too!
Tara Hollister Tara is an Award Scheme coach. She is currently away at University, but returns to help out in the holidays. Tara is a former Squad gymnast with WWGF, and was one of the most talented we ever had! Tara has a fantastic sense of humour and is very popular with our Gym Camp attendees.
Emma Hodkinson Emma is an Award Scheme coach, also currently away at University. Emma is also a former Squad gymnast with WWGF, and is famous for being very chirpy!
Andrew Paul Andrew is a Volunteer Coach and helps with the Recreational Gymnastics classes when he is able. Andrew is also one of our Welfare Officers.
Mike Young Mike is a Level 2 Parkour UK Coach who occasionally helps with our Parkour sessions on Sundays. Catch him on YouTube!!
Joy Rickard Joy is our part-time Receptionist and Administrator, and looks after all our information storage. Her sons Alex and Sam are part of the Boys’ Squad with Lukasz. The whole of WWGF would fall apart without Joy!!
Sam Coulton Sam is our wonderful Cleaner, and makes sure everything in the facility is up together!
Sally Clark Sally is a Volunteer and helps at with Reception, Caretaking and Administration. She is completely indispensable!
Roly Clark Roly is a Volunteer and helps out with Caretaking and DIY! (He is usually to be found in the Gym or Lounge Area, chatting to anyone and everyone!).
